You’ll need

• a clockwork with batteries
• some cement
• a round, plastic bowl, like this old candy dish
• glue
• paint for the hands of the clock
• and, very important, an old pen cap

Instructions

Glue the pen cap into the middle of the bowl.

Wait a while to let the glue set.

Now spread oil on the whole thing.

Follow the instructions and mix the cement with water.

Immediately fill the bowl with your cement mix.

Shake and rattle the bowl to get any air bubbles out. Let it set for 24 hours.

Now use spray paint or acrylic paint to paint the hand of the clock.

Once the paint has dried, you just have to put the whole thing together.

You’ve got yourself a good looking concrete clock.

Tip

• If you like, you can paint numerals on the cement. That’ll make the clock easier to read
• Remember; do not put excess cement into the sink or toilet. It could lead to blocked up pipes
