The eastern German town Frankfurt an der Oder was long held up as a model of integration - until a group of refugees stormed a popular nightclub. Social worker Thomas Klähn is fighting to keep sentiments from turning against the refugees.

The town's leading politicians have taken a clear stance on the Frosch Club attack: mayor René Wilke of the Left Party would like to see the perpetrators deported - in spite of criticism from within his own party. One of the attackers has expressed remorse for his involvement, saying that if he'd had a chance to settle into life as a refugee in Germany, it wouldn't have happened. Social worker Thomas Klähn envisions a community where everyone can find a place. But is this feasible? A report by Chris Caurla and Jonathan Walker.
