Iran has started to implement the preliminary deal reached with Western powers to curb its production of enriched uranium in return for the easing of international sanctions.

Over the next six months the international community will be watching closely, checking that Tehran adheres to Western demands. The total sanctions relief over that time period amounts to around $7 billion. Read DW's indepth coverage on the issue.
