Iran step up its uranium enrichment program, prompting calls for tighter sanctions

The United States and France say they're ready to push for new sanctions against Iran, which announced today that it's about to start enriching uranium to twenty percent. Following talks in Paris, the French and American defense ministers said action by the international community must be the next step. They are concerned that the enrichment process is intended to produce nuclear weapons rather than energy, as Iran claims.
