Iran's capital, Tehran, is experiencing a severe water shortage, prompting officials to consider evacuating the city's 10 million residents. Could the government's cloud-seeding program help spark much needed rain?

Tehran faces its worst water crisis in decades after months of drought and record heat.

Reservoirs and dams are nearly empty, forcing authorities to consider rationing and even evacuation.

As nationwide rainfall is 85% below average, Iran is now betting on cloud seeding, spraying particles into clouds to trigger rain.

But experts warn that success in the long run depends on precise conditions and better water management.
