Germany is testing inductive highways that power cars on the move wirelessly. The technology could help overcome range anxiety and may even reshape the future of mobility.

A pilot project in Germany uses coils embedded beneath the road to transfer energy to moving cars wirelessly, reducing range anxiety and dependence on charging stations.

The technology could allow for smaller, cheaper batteries. But widespread adoption will depend on big infrastructure investments and industry uptake as testing continues.
