Israel plans more demolitions in occupied West Bank

More families living in the West Bank are facing displacement: Last month, Israel's civil authority gave the order to level more than a dozen structures in the village of Umm al-Kheir. DW visited the community.

Israeli demolition orders threaten the Bedouin village of Umm al-Kheir in the occupied West Bank, leaving residents in fear. Bulldozers recently targeted nearby Masafer Yatta, where homes like that owned by Sameer Hamamdeh's were razed. Israel deems most Palestinian structures illegal due to permit restrictions, while settlers expand outposts. Despite appeals and a temporary delay, uncertainty looms over forced displacement.
