Israel to expand Golan settlements after fall of Assad

The Israeli government has approved a plan to expand settlements on the occupied Golan Heights. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the move was necessary, given developments in Syria following the fall of the Assad regime. A Middle East analyst tells DW that Israel’s "aggressive moves risk undermining the long-term stability and security" in the region.
