For the first time, two major Israeli human rights groups have stated that Israel's government is committing genocide in Gaza. The groups also said that Israel's allies shared responsibility for the suffering in Gaza. Israel has repeatedly rejected accusations of genocide.

Two prominent Israeli human rights organizations, B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights Israel , have jointly declared that Israel's military campaign in Gaza constitutes genocide under international law. Their reports, published Monday, accuse Israel of deliberately attempting to destroy Palestinian society in Gaza through mass civilian killings, starvation, forced displacement and the destruction of essential infrastructure.

The Israeli government strongly denies the genocide accusation. Government spokesperson David Mencer rejected the claims as baseless, asserting that there is no intent to commit genocide — a key legal requirement for such a charge.

The rights groups also hold Israel's allies partly responsible. Their appeal is not only directed at the Israeli government but also at the global public, urging collective action to halt what they call an assault on humanity itself.
