Israeli forces have carried out airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs and the southern Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh. Though officials said the strikes targeted Hezbollah militants, the people killed included Nabatiyeh's mayor, who was said to be attending a meeting to coordinate relief efforts.
