Israelis near Lebanon border anxiously monitor Iran war

In northern Israel, residents are once again facing uncertainty following the outbreak of hostilities between the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group and the Israeli army.

Tensions are rising in northern Israel as local councils near the Lebanese border brace for renewed conflict with Hezbollah. Officials meet daily in shelters to assess threats and guide residents, while drone alerts heighten concern. Many locals who only recently returned after previous evacuations now shelter again as Israel mobilizes reservists and communities try to maintain a semblance of normal life.
