Password cracking, Trojan programming, sniffing out data -- at Aachen University of Applied Sciences, computer science students learn all the criminal tricks of the trade. Here they're trained to be professional hackers, who will later help businesses detect security gaps on their websites. The cases of Sony and Adidas have demonstrated that companies need more protection.

More and more companies have now understood that only those who know the weaknesses of IT systems and the strategies of those attacking them can provide adequate protection against viruses and worms, and they're investing in their online security.
