In Palermo, high school students protest a new law backed by Italy's right-wing government banning sex education for children under 14.

In Palermo, students openly discuss sexuality, consent and violence — topics still taboo in much of Italy. While the government restricts sex education for under‑14s and requires parental approval for older students, young activists demand comprehensive lessons in all schools. Despite political pressure, educators and initiatives continue their workshops.
