Japan has conducted its first national earthquake drill since March 11 when an earthquake and tsunami left over 20,000 dead and triggered a nuclear crisis in Fukushima. Disaster Prevention Day is an annual drill to train for a potentially deadly magnitude 7.3 quake scenario in Tokyo. It is held to commemorate the anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake that killed over 140,000 in 1923. AFP
