Jeb Bush - The brother

Christoph Ricking/mikOctober 13, 2015

He's Bush number three: Like his father and brother, Jeb wants to win the White House. To do that, he must distance himself from his unpopular sibling George W. and establish his own political identity.

His father was president, so was his older brother - now Jeb Bush has his eyes on the presidency. But his famous name is also a huge burden. That's why Jeb must show that he his not simply a copy of his older brother. The former governor of Florida is considered to be a moderate conservative. He is married to a Mexican-born woman and speaks fluent Spanish. One of his goals, immigration reform, has brought him the ire of conservatives but may help him woo Latino voters.

Financing his bid should not prove difficult for Jeb Bush. He is the favorite of the Republican Party's establishment. The conservative base, however, is not convinced. In public appearances Bush often comes across as stiff, which could make it difficult for him to connect with voters.
