A German media report says more German jobs may have to be axed at ailing carmaker Opel than orginally thought. Der Spiegel magazine says more than 4100 jobs may have to go as parts of efforts by future majority stakeholder Magna to restructure the company. Other European countries with Opel plants have called on the EU to examine the deal to ensure Germany abided by EU rules on protectionism.
