Iceland's interim leftist government has won a resounding victory Saturday's general election as voters punished the conservatives they blame for the country's economic meltdown seven months ago. With more than 80 percent of the ballots counted, the Social Democrats and Greens have got almost 53 percent of the votes. The elections were brought forward after the financial crisis in the country prompted the resignation of the previous government in January.
