Germany's economics minister, KarlTheodor zu Guttenberg, said on Friday that a host of questions remain about Magna International's bid for Opel. It said rival bidders are still in the running for the General Motors subsidiary in Germany. Chancellor Angela Merkel has been meeting key cabinet ministers and the premiers of states with Opel plants today to examine all three take-over bids for the struggling carmaker.
