Afghan President Hamid Karzai says he's in "full agreement" with the new American strategy on Afghanistan and Pakistan and said the decision to include Iran in a regional role was a "positive thing". President Barack Obama's plan has the key goal of neutralizing al Qaeda militants. The new strategy comes with violence in Afghanistan at its highest level since U.S.-led forces ousted the Taliban in 2001. EU Foreign Ministers meeting in the Czech republic have been discussing Washington's new approach.
