Anti-government protests in Egypt are entering their twelfth day. But there’s still no sign of president Hosni Mubarak quitting. The 82-year old leader has held his first meeting with his new cabinet. He sacked the previous one last week amid rising public anger. Meanwhile, international calls for Mubarak's resignation are growing louder. The European Union has repeated calls for an immediate transition of power. The situation in central Cairo remained tense overnight but largely calm.
