Karelia: the still unspoiled beauty in Russia

Yet to be discovered by the tourist droves is Lake Onega in Russia’s Karelia Republic. Its petroglyphs dating to the Neolithic age are part of the UNESCO World Heritage site, along with the island of Kizhi with its graceful wooden churches.
