Kashmir Should Be Independent Poll Finds

Nearly 90 percent of people living in Srinagar, Indian-administered Kashmir’s capital, want their troubled state to become independent, according to a first ever joint poll conducted by Indian and Pakistani organisations. Only 3 percent of the respondents thought Kashmir should become part of Pakistan, while 7 percent preferred Indian rule.
