Katharina Nocun, journalist and blogger:

"Fighting for the right to freedom of expression means today as well that we stand united against hate and racism. Because freedom of expression does not mean that we should allow hate and violence against minorities to be normalized online."

Nocun is a civil rights and online activist engaged in data privacy and digital democratic movements. Her contribution is part of Deutsche Welle's #Article19ForAll project. The goal is to collect voices and opinions to mark the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and, more specifically, Article 19, which defines freedom of expression and access to information as basic human rights.
