Killings of Israel's enemies raise escalation fears

Hamas's top political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, was on killed Wednesday in a pre-dawn airstrike in Tehran. Israel has neither confirmed nor denied involvement. Haniyeh's death came just hours after Israel launched an airstrike that killed a top Hezbollah commander in Beirut.
