Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has called a deadly shooting in Krakow an "act of terrorism." At least six people were killed and more than a dozen wounded after a gunman opened fire in the city's main square.

Poland's prime minister has said the deadly shooting in central Krakow on Saturday afternoon was an "act of terrorism."

Authorities say the suspected gunman was "fascinated by far-right ideology" and has "very radical" and "ultra-nationalistic" views.

The attacker opened fire with an automatic weapon at Krakow's main square, a popular tourist attraction, killing several people and injuring others.

Police said they shot and wounded the suspected gunman, who was hospitalized.

Authorities also found three bodies at the suspect's home.
