# The publication of some 400 000 secret US military files on Iraq appears to have produced new evidence of abuse, killings of civilians and the involvement of private security firms in battle. The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, says the documents offered proof that War crimes were committed during the period between 2004 and 2009. Washington has condemned the publication while Britain's depute prime minister Nick Clegg called the allegations "extraordinarily serious".
