Kurdish Peshmerga battling the odds against Islamic State

Veteran Kurdish Peshmerga fighters have joined the battle against the Islamic State in northern Iraq. Some of them already saw battle against Saddam Hussein in the 90s. But they are woefully underequipped against an enemy that has state of the art weapons. They welcome US strikes on the IS, and hope that Western weapons deliveries will soon help them turn the tide.
