Kurds optimistic ahead of Sunday poll

Sunday’s municipal elections in Turkey are being seen as a referendum on the policies of Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. The Kurdish DTP party hopes to retain power in Diyarbakir, the stronghold of Kurdish militancy.
