Langenscheidt: Success with Words

A blue L on a yellow background ... a logo familiar to many, not just in Germany. It stands for the name Langenscheidt and many associate it with dictionaries.

But the publishing firm also owns the Brockhaus, Duden and Polyglott brands. The family-run publishing house was founded 150 years ago. Now in the fifth generation, 55 year-old Andreas Langenscheidt says that he wants to keep the brand-name young. So they're working on a 'Comedy' series and an internet strategy. Michael Wetzel met the publisher.
