As of January 1 the eurozone will welcome its 18th member when Latvia leaves behind the lats to adopt the single currency. It's a symbolic move that signals deeper integration into the EU, and this past weekend that move was celebrated here in Berlin. Germany's Ministry of Finance hosted an event that showcased the "So klingt Europa" ("The Sound of Latvia") concert with a coterie of Latvian stars.
