Israel has issued large‑scale evacuation orders for southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs, a stronghold of Iran‑backed Hezbollah. The move has triggered panic and chaos across the Lebanese capital.

Tens of thousands of Lebanese are fleeing after Israel ordered mass evacuations in southern Lebanon and parts of Beirut, a stronghold of Iran‑backed Hezbollah

Many displaced families are sleeping in cars, on beaches and in the streets as new Israeli strikes hit the capital and the south.

The United Nations warns the near-blanket orders raise serious concerns under international law, while Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam says the country is facing "a humanitarian disaster" as it is being dragged into a conflict it did not choose.
