Police in London have arrested protesters opposing the British government's decision to ban the pro-Palestinian activist group Palestine Action.

Police in London detained pro-Palestine demonstrators outside Parliament on Saturday for supporting the banned group Palestine Action. Protesters, many elderly, carried placards opposing genocide and backing Palestine Action, now classified as a terrorist organization.

The UK government has cited national security concerns. Critics, including the UN, have said the ban is authoritarian in nature and disproportionate. A legal challenge is pending.
