Louvre Museum reopens after brazen jewel heist

Three days after a spectacular jewelry heist left the Louvre's leadership red faced, the museum has reopened its doors to the public. The theft of jewels worth tens of millions of euros was enabled by serious security failings, such as missing surveillance cameras.

A daring jewel heist at Louvre Museum has exposed serious security flaws.

Disguised as construction workers, thieves stole French Crown Jewels worth €88 million from the Galerie d'Apollon.

The museum's outdated surveillance systems failed to detect the break-in.

Authorities are now searching for four suspects, while calls grow for tighter security and an on-site police
