Lufthansa To Cut First Class on Tourist Routes

German flag carrier Lufthansa plans to cut is first class service on a number of routes beginning Jan. 6, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper has reported. According to the paper, the airline will now offer only business and economy classes on flights between Frankfurt and Philadelphia, Frankfurt and Boston and a number of other routes primarily used by tourists. A spokeswoman for the airline said, however, that Lufthansa does not plan to abandon the luxury first class altogether.
