By 2016, women are supposed to hold 30% of all corporate board positions in Germany. A lot needs to change if this target is to be reached, but one executive who's blazing a trail for women is Birgit Steinborn. She’s the head of the works council at Siemens, and the deputy chairwoman of its supervisory board.
