Madrid Wants Brazil Star

Young star Robinho, who electrified German crowds, in his team's 3-0 victory against Greece on Thursday is attracting some serious attention on the transfer market. According to reports, Real Madrid is hot on acquiring the 21-year-old striker, who plays for Brazilian club Santos. They have upped their offer to 18 million euros, according to Spanish newspaper reports. But if the Brazilian government has their way Robinho is not going anywhere. The latest national soccer treasure is to stay in Brazil until the 2006 World Cup.
