Airbus warns of potential travel disruptions after announcing an urgent software update for its operational A320 series aircraft. In an incident last month a computer malfunction caused a plane to suddenly nose dive.

Airbus has grounded thousands of A320-family jets for an urgent software update after a JetBlue flight experienced an uncommanded altitude drop. The issue, linked to solar radiation corrupting flight control data, has caused widespread delays and cancellations as airlines rush to install the fix on nearly half of the 11,000 A320 aircraft during peak travel season.
