Malnutrition among cancer patients

Each year, some 100,000 cancer patients die from malnutrition in German hospitals - a little-known statistic. They end up starving to death following surgery on the stomach, colon or pancreas, because their bodies can no longer absorb enough nutrients from the food they eat.
