The lonelier a person grows, the more easily love can blind them to common sense. Experts call these fraudsters "Romance Scammers" and estimate that as many as 10,000 women in Germany alone fall for such packs of lies year for year. Police and prosecutors warn never to send internet acquaintances money. And if there's any doubt the long-distance lover boys and girls are actually who they say they are, never trust photographs but try to communicate through video phoning.
