Germany may use a massive hack of the far-right AfD in its investigation of the party. Hundreds of thousands of emails were leaked. Authorities are already probing the AfD over suspected right-wing extremism.

Unknown hackers have released hundreds of thousands of stolen AfD emails, including private messages from party leader Alice Weidel.

The party says a hosting provider used by a small number of members was targeted.

The massive amount of data is similar in size to the Epstein files and still requires diligent analysis, says DW correspondent Matthew Moore.
