Anyone who frequently deals with the media will sooner or later have to face uncomfortable and critical questions from journalists. Remaining open, calm, and fair at all times—these basic rules apply even in difficult situations. In addition, targeted strategies help you defend your position without losing the sympathy of your audience.

The Advanced Media Training builds on our Media Training I – Basic Training. Here, you’ll learn how to remain confident and credible even under difficult circumstances, navigate sensitive topics, and recognize pitfalls—both online and offline. Experienced journalists will interview you under real-world conditions in television and radio studios as well as over the phone to prepare you optimally for any situation. Using video and audio analysis, we work specifically on your strengths and weaknesses so that you can convey your messages even more effectively.

 

After the training, participants will be able to:

• communicate effectively with different target audiences across various media channels
• recognize different types of journalistic questions and respond appropriately
• handle critical and uncomfortable questions
• find the right statement for every situation
• identify pitfalls in social media communication
• reflect on their own message and stance
• use voice control and body language effectively
• manage crisis situations
