Fifty years after Turkey's invasion, Cyprus's divisive history remains viewed differently by Greek and Turkish Cypriots. Unresolved disputes between the island's largely Greek south and Turkish north persist, with the population making up roughly four-fifths Greek and one-fifth Turkish.
