Statistics show that a girl born somewhere on the planet in 2012 has an average life expectancy of 72 years. A boy is predicted to die four years earlier. Life expectancy differs considerably from country to country. The main reasons are a lack of awareness on health issues, an unhealthy lifestyle, smoking and alcohol consumption.
