Merkel and Putin and their ministers meet in Wiesbaden - je 15.10.2007 12

Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are holding talks in the western German city of Wiesbaden. Twelve Russian ministers are meeting German counterparts as well, with discussions focused on trade and Moscow's relations with the European Union. . The leaders are also expected to address Iran's nuclear program. Russia is enjoying warming relations with Tehran at a time when Germany has decided to back possible sanctions against Iran.
