Until the late 19th century, metal furniture was primarily used in hospitals. In the 1920s, metal moved into people's living rooms. It was the great innovation in furniture design. And now once again, metal furniture is in: ranging from cast iron, sheet metal, aluminum, to bronze, copper, and gold.
