Officials for Germany's largest industrial union, IG Metall, have expressed their support for a proposed minimum wage after initially opposing the plan. Berthold Huber, the union's deputy leader, said his organization had to change gears as company's keep trying to lower wages. Huber said the minimum wage should be equivalent to the lowest existing wage deal in any sector.
