Mexicans criticize pollution caused by SpaceX launches

As Elon Musk continues to send rockets into space from the US state of Texas, environmentalists in neighboring Mexico are voicing their concerns. They say debris from the launches ends up across the border, polluting the ocean and harming wildlife.

Tourists gather in Boca Chica, Texas, to witness SpaceX rocket launches — but across the border in Mexico, the impact is far less thrilling.

Conservationists warn of space debris washing up on beaches, threatening sea turtles and other marine life. Locals report tremors, shattered windows and dwindling fish stocks. Despite growing concerns, Elon Musk continues test flights as part of his mission to reach Mars.
