Three things you should/didn’t know about me
I rode a bicycle from Denmark to Wales
I have my sights on the moon, literally.
I was born into a family of sheepherders. I spent my early years raising sheep.
An African (dead or alive) I would love to interview
Neil deGrasse Tyson is African-American and I will absolutely love to interview him.
In my home country, you should visit
The Cape Coast Castle. It is an enduring reminder of the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
Favorite African proverb
Akyea nansʋ ɛmmu yɛ. Everything can be fixed so long as there is life
Book recommendation
Roots by Alex Haley is one of my all-time favorites. This book does not simply talk about slavery. It gives a good account of life before people were snatched and shipped into distant lands. I highly recommend it.
Can’t get enough of music by
Ladysmith Black Mambazo. If you have ever heard them sing, you will know why I am hooked. Their music is just pure emotion. Check them out!
Favorite vacation spot in Africa:
Seychelles Island
The 77 Percent means the following to me:
To paraphrase American rapper Common, it takes the wisdom of the elders and the young people’s energy to change Africa but in many countries, the young people have no space to display their talents.
I grew up watching Deutsche Welle (DW), the stories helped shape my worldview and reach for the sky. This is my attempt to help other young Africans dream for the stars.
