Military veteran fights to restore Britain's rainforests

The British mainland has been home to rainforests for 4,000 years. Now, there are hardly any left. Environmentalists are turning to reforestation to save them.

A rare temperate rainforest in Cornwall highlights the dramatic loss of Britain’s ancient woodlands, now reduced to less than one percent of former coverage.

Conservationist Merlin Hanbury-Tenison works to protect and restore this biodiverse habitat after finding personal recovery there.
