Minimal Invasion - Skillfully Removing an Inflamed Appendix

The appendix is the dead-end tube connected to the colon. When it becomes inflamed it causes sharp pains in the lower abdomen, fever and increased inflammatory factors in the blood. Then it has to be removed. Today, that's often done using minimally invasive techniques, which require only small incisions in the abdomen.
